to paraphrase Viktor Frankl,
Everything can be taken from you but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.
Hi, I’m Jo.
I’ve spent over a decade immersed in professional development programs and managing my own interiors business. Along the way, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge that I now bring to my coaching practice.
In addition to my professional achievements, I’ve completed a Personalised Care Institute accredited wellbeing course and an undergraduate program at the University of Cambridge. This ongoing learning is crucial to me as it enhances my ability to support my clients.
Outside of my studies and work, I find immense pleasure in volunteering as a coach for young individuals in London. It’s a deeply meaningful opportunity to contribute positively to their lives.
I also love nature and can often be found at the allotment, cold water swimming, or hiking and biking. Culture is another passion of mine, and I have a keen interest in art, both appreciating it and creating it.
Why am I passionate about the difference coaching can make?
At one point, I felt disconnected from my life, struggling to identify what would truly fulfill me. Despite exploring numerous options, talking therapies and studying, I couldn’t find the missing piece.
It was only when I gained self-awareness and embraced my strengths that I started making choices that felt right for me and led to success. This journey brought resilience and a newfound sense of harmony to my life.
Discovering a newfound positivity towards myself, focusing on my strengths rather than dwelling on weaknesses, brought a sense of liberation that was truly transformative.
I made the decision to pursue formal training and become a registered coach to ensure my qualifications met the standards needed for this important work. I aimed high and enrolled at the University of Cambridge.
Navigating the demands of academic life in middle age, with its competing priorities, was challenging. Yet, pushing through practical assessments, lengthy essays, and extensive reading proved immensely rewarding. Achieving this milestone is something I wouldn’t have thought possible just a few years ago. It has been both daunting and ultimately exciting.
At this stage of my journey, I have the privilege of working with clients of all ages, both individually and through their organizations. Each client brings a unique life experience, circumstance, and personality to our work together, shaping the way they approach personal growth and their individual goals.
